Uniform

School uniform is worn by all students in Years 7–11.  We believe that our uniform promotes a sense of pride and belonging to Nonsuch and provides a professional and practical standard of dress for all students.

From September 2026, our uniform arrangements reflect the requirements of the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026.  We have limited the number of compulsory branded or school-specific items to three and have sought to ensure that families are able to purchase other compulsory items from a range of retailers.

Our three branded items

The three branded or school-specific items are:

• Nonsuch blazer – navy blue with the school logo
• Nonsuch kilt-style skirt – blue Bedford check
• Nonsuch PE polo shirt – light blue with navy trim and the school logo

These items are available from Stevensons at Lester Bowden in Epsom or, subject to availability, through the Nonsuch PTA pre-loved uniform provision.

Students do not have to wear the school skirt.   Plain navy-blue, smart, slim-leg school trousers may be worn instead and can be purchased from any retailer, provided that they meet the requirements set out in our Uniform Policy.  Students do not need to own both the skirt and trousers.

Other compulsory uniform

Compulsory non-branded items do not need to be purchased from Stevensons.  Parents and carers are welcome to purchase these from any retailer, provided that they meet the specifications set out in our Uniform Policy.

These include:

• plain light-blue short or long-sleeved revere-collar shirt/blouse;
• plain navy-blue V-neck, long-sleeved jumper;
• plain blue overall for Science and Art/DT;
• plain navy-blue apron for Food Technology; and
• other items such as socks, tights, coats, shoes and bags in accordance with the requirements in the policy.

Stevensons may stock some of these items for families who wish to purchase them there, but there is no requirement to do so.

PE Kit

The Nonsuch PE polo shirt is our only compulsory-branded PE item.

Other compulsory PE items, including navy skorts or shorts, mid-layers, sports leggings or tracksuit bottoms, socks, trainers, swimwear and relevant protective equipment, may be purchased from alternative retailers provided that they meet the specifications set out in our Uniform Policy.

Pre-loved School Uniform:

The Nonsuch PTA provides a pre-loved uniform service, offering families another way to purchase school-specific uniform at a reduced cost.

For further information about pre-loved uniform, please contact pta@nonsuchschool.org.  The policy specifically provides for second-hand uniform arrangements as part of the school's approach to affordability.
 

Support with the cost of uniform

We are committed to ensuring that the cost of uniform is not a barrier to a student attending Nonsuch. Support with the cost of some uniform items is available to eligible families.  Please contact the Administration Office at office@nonsuchschool.org for further information.
