KS4 Curriculum Overview

We offer a very broad range of subjects at Key Stage 4.

The core of the curriculum is made up of English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Core and Additional Science, a half course in Religious Studies and a modern foreign language.  All students study for at least ten GCSE qualifications and some opt to study for ten and a half. The optional subjects are:

  • Ancient Greek
  • Astronomy
  • Computer Science
  • Drama
  • Fine Art
  • Food Preparation and Nutrition
  • French
  • Geography
  • German
  • History
  • Information Technology
  • Latin
  • Music
  • PE
  • Photography
  • Product Design
  • RS (converts Short Course to Full Course)
  • Spanish
  • Textiles
  • Triple Science

We believe strongly that students need to learn the skills of independent study and so all students in Years 10 and 11 have at least one supervised private study period per fortnight.
