Examination Results 2017

A Level Results 2017

Many congratulations to all of our Year 13 students for a fantastic set of A level results this year.

At A level 82.4% of entries were A*-B grades and 18.6% grade A*; 56  students (33.5%) achieved AAA or higher. Of those, 17 girls achieved 3 A* grades.

The vast majority of our Year 13 students are taking up places at university this autumn, for courses ranging from Medieval and Modern Languages to Medicine, with 11 students going to Oxford or Cambridge. We also have 12 successful medics, 5 dentists and 1 veterinary scientist

These results are testament to the huge amount of effort and work put in by all students and staff over the past years: we are very proud of you all.

The results place the school as the 8th highest position of girls’ selective state schools and in 26th position nationally.

These remarkable results are testament to the hard work of all the students along with the excellent support of parents and staff at Nonsuch.  We all work towards bringing the best out of our students and many have exceeded their own expectations this year.

Our 2017 GCSE and A Level students have all excelled themselves and we are so very proud of them. The examination results this year reflect the outstanding ability and hard work of our students. All the students worked hard to secure their grades whether those were A*, A, B or C grades.  I would like to thank you as their parents and the teaching staff for all you have done to support the students in their examination years.

As you may already have seen in the national press, this year’s GCSE results place the school as the 11th highest performing girls’ state school in the country. Our A Level candidates also performed superbly, gaining grades that ensured the large majority secured their first choice University destination.

As well as reflecting the ability and hard work of your daughters and the support you give them as parents, these results are testament to the expertise and dedication of our inspirational teachers and the supportive pastoral care of tutors and Heads of Year. I would particularly like to thank Mrs Haskins (nee Meade) who has been the Director of Sixth Form during Mrs Johns' maternity leave, Ms Hawkins (Head of Year 13), Mr Coy (Head of Year 11) and Mrs Johns who returned at Easter. The sixth form team have been in over the summer advising girls as to their next steps.
