Consultation Outcome 2019

Following consultation in accordance with the School Admissions Code 2014, please find on the link to the right the determined Admissions Policy for September 2019 entry to Nonsuch High School for Girls. The consultation received eight responses and the main changes are summarised in the table below.

Summary of the Changes

 Throughout

 We have made changes to some of the nomenclature in the Policy, most especially to change the admissions authority to the Nonsuch and Wallington Education Trust Curriculum Committee

Paragraph 5.2.2

We have increased the number of places prioritised for those in receipt of pupil premium from 10 to 35 and have removed the requirement that those applying for these places come from within the school’s catchment area

 Paragraph 5.2.2

We have determined that the qualifying pass mark for candidates in receipt of pupil premium will be up to 10% lower than for all other candidates

Paragraph 6.2

We have changed the time at which candidates who have not sat our Year 7 entrance tests may join the open waiting list

Paragraph 10.1

We have reduced the minimum entry requirement for entry to the sixth form from an Average Point Score (APS) over the best eight GCSEs of 6.5 to an APS of 6.0

Paragraph 10.2

We have determined that candidates who attain a grade 6 in English Language or Literature will be eligible for entry to the sixth form

Appendix B We have determined that students wishing to study Further Maths at A Level will require a grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics
11.1.2 We have determined that most students in the sixth form will sit three (rather than four) subjects at A Level
